Kate Walsh

  • If forgoing the telly is one marker of her individuality, another, more significant one is Kate’s debut album proper. A soothing, richly sensual work, Tim’s House is an admirable contribution to the quiet revolution. Packing heart-stoppingly beautiful songs - if ‘Your Song’ and ‘Tonight’ don’t move you we respectively suggest you check your pulse – the album has maturity and finesse way beyond Kate’s years.

Brandi Shearer

  • Born in rural Oregon, Brandi Shearer's singing career began by entertaining her grandmother with versions of "Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue" and "Isn't It Romantic" played by numbers on a Sears Roebuck electric piano. Later, she moved to Europe where she learned about Billie Holiday and singing effectively in front of drunken audiences. French girls taught her to artfully apply makeup and wear her hair just so. She sang in bars, clubs, festivals& living rooms across the continent until landing in Hungary. After some time spent living the expatriate life, she returned to the States to pursue a career in music on her native soil. That's the music story.

Quincy Coleman

  • (Quincy has)...all the goods, a beautiful voice, such sweet emotion and tenderness...very talented." Dolly Parton

With song writer and vocalist extraordinaire Quincy Coleman think Elvis Presleys power, Edith Piafs emotion and the spirit of Django Reinhardt breaking Challa on a Hawaiian island while shooting a scene for a David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino, Fellini collaboration.

Online publication, Editorial Emergency says about Quincy and her sophomore recording Come Closer, her husky delivery navigates the shifting territory with aplomb. Coleman's feel for the swoony tropes of yesteryear at times recalls Maria Muldaur and Van Dyke Parks, though her voice is closer to the knowing, rootsy timbre of Shelby Lynne. While Paste magazine describes Come Closer as Asyln meets Tom Waits.
