Primo Gomez

  • Primo Gomez made his way through the streets of the South Bronx from the cradle to the present age. Early in his career he traveled to London and hooked up with Touché, a local D.J. and producer who would later go on to form the famous Wiseguys and attain worldwide acclaim. Together they worked on music that would set the standard for his future endeavors. When he returned to The Bronx , he had a new perspective on life and music. He became the front man for Bronx all stars Shootyz Groove. They became one of the most respected bands ever to blast underground and above ground alike. Their Hip Hop rock sound and furious live show garnered a loyal following that persevered through many trials and tribulations. Always endowed with a seeking spirit he continued his musical evolution by picking up his acoustic guitar and digging deeper into his life. The result was the collection of songs that make up his debut self-titled solo effort.

Metermaids

  • Metermaids produces dynamic, honest, headphone rap. “It’s Hip Hop, it’s Rock, It’s funk, its’ fun.” Metermaids represents a brand new sound in hip hop/pop music. Playing to crowds all across America, it’s no wonder the Metermaids EP sustained a top 20 position on the CMJ Hip Hop charts for two months straight. Their broad appeal is undeniable. Whether it’s a packed out college show, a showcase at SXSW, or a Saturday night at the Viper Room in L.A., Metermaids always rock the venue. As heard on MTV and late night Fox TV, “Don’t Sleep,” the first cut from the EP is a “classic hip hop/pop crossover.” And the single “Funk Terrorist” is a true party anthem that makes the crowd scream for more every time. Metermaids is two New York emcees, Swell and Sentence. Backed by the production prowess of 27 Sound founder Matt Stine, the package is complete.
