The Dig

  • "With one hand deep in roots rock and roll and live performances thatlift you up and leave you ragged, The Dig are building a reputation asone of the best young bands in New York. The songs on their new EP,Good Luck and Games, produced by Bryce Goggin (Pavement, The Ramones) have energy and intelligence matched only by their heartfelt swagger.See them now so you can say you saw them then." - The Onion

The Kiss Off

  • "The Kiss-Off was formed in 2006 by guitarist Adam De Rosa, bassist Nathan Lithgow and keyboardist/ button pusher Oliver Edsforth. This line-up was later joined by drummer Michael Resnick and singer Sam Tyndall. After a year of exploration and changes in palate The Kiss-Off has settled on sound deeply influenced by Eno-era Bowie, Echo & The Bunnymen and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but continues to expand their sonic reach and ambition. Tyndall's stark lyrics are counter balanced
by a resonant, often dramatic delivery, which glides on top of
BladeRunner synthesizer and Fripp-esque guitar. The Kiss-Off is
releasing their debut six song EP "Brace" in the Spring of 2008."

The Secret History

  • The Secret History is the new NYC band formed in 2007 by songwriter Michael Grace Jr, best know for acclaimed cult indie pop band 'My Favorite'. It is a collaboration with vocalist Lisa Ronson, daughter of Bowie guitarist and glam rock legend Mick Ronson. Together they are creating a new kind of continental art rock, drawing from the jangles of Manchester, the stomp of glam, the innocence of the girl groups, and the anxiety of disco.

The Jaguar Club

  • "The Jaguar Club is a Brooklyn band we’re pretty excited about. They’ve got all the right 80’s influences, and they put ’em all together in a way that’s sparse and upbeat like Felt. The band not the material.
    - The L Magazine

"One of dirty Brooklyn’s best up-and-coming indie acts...Their disaffected post-punk is not only keeping the fledgling genre alive, but it’s spawning impromptu dance parties everywhere it performs."
    - Michael Morotta , The Boston Herald

“Music this infectious certainly doesn’t need to be brought to an audience with a sweaty, full-force performance – but it was and the crowd responded in turn. The show ultimately seemed about half-concert and half-party; in the best, most fun way possible.”

The New Rags

  • "The music could have been made any time in the last 40 years, from the sound of it, with a likely date closer to 1965 than 2005. But the excitement never lets up, and the listener never wants it to stop" -Allmusic.com

"A bracing blend of Ben Folds, Mark Mothersbaugh, John Lennon and Ray Davies, all banging away on a carnival midway to provide the soundtrack to a clearly uninspected and obviously dangerous carousel" -Amplifier.com

The New Rags are the world's only pop, rock and ragtime duo! Based in New York, their performances, complete with catchy pop songs, hooks, harmonies and instrumental interludes, show off their influences which range from Scott Joplin to Ben Folds, from Brian Wilson to garage bands of the 1960s.
