Pale Nimbus

  • Coming together in August 2007, the band booked its first show before completing a first song. Without any recorded music to promote, they went on to play 16 shows in their first 16 weeks throughout New York City.

These performances gave birth to a studio offer in February 2008, instigating a three-month break from the stage to craft songs. Meanwhile, to make good on the old adage a band is only as good as its drummer, they found Sarah Tomek to return to the stage, headlining NYC's Mercury Lounge for their second time to a capacity crowd.

Reborn, the band entered the studio in late June to record their first demos, to be available online in August. A debut EP will follow in early fall 2008.

Afterparties accompany every show. All are welcome.

J Roddy Walston & the Business

  • A descendent of a long line of great southern musicians, J Roddy Walston was raised on the music of God and taught to play rock and roll by the hand of the Devil. Leaving behind family, friends, and the slow pace of the South, J Roddy headed north, and along the way, picked himself up a mean band of players. A violent and passionate live show, an affinity for melody, and a dash of youthful bravado have had every Yank lucky enough to come across these carpet-baggers come home shaking at the knees and swinging at the hips.
