Satellite Mode (10:15pm) - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Satellite Mode (10:15pm)
Founded in New York City, Satellite Mode is composed of artists Jess Carvo (Vocals) and Alex Marko (Production / Instrumentation). The duo has become most known for their blend of haunting vocals with electronic textures and popinspired melodies.

The duo began as ghostwriters for various artists, but months into their new project, life changed drastically with a sudden tragedy in Jess’ family. The band’s work began to reflect these life-altering developments, as did their songwriting dynamic, intensity and purpose. During this season of immense change, their collaboration was now personal and their songs were no longer targeted to other artists, but released under their current moniker.

Throughout their short history, Satellite Mode’s songs have been featured in top music publications including NOISEY, have charted on Spotify’s Viral charts and have broke 2 million listens across global streaming platforms. Most recently, their single “Warm Fire Lightning” cracked the top 5 on Hype Machine.

Satellite Mode has also seen success with their 5-piece live show, selling out multiple New York City venues like Mercury Lounge and Rockwood Music Hall. To start off 2017, the group supported Great Good Fine Ok at Irving Plaza and headlined the legendary Blue Note NYC
Slow Sugar - (Set time: 7:00 PM)
Slow Sugar
Indie pop duo Slow Sugar emerged with their debut single “Hypnotic Love,” a soaring, uplifting track that Idolator refers
to as a “glorious soundscape.” Armed with a mix of pop and indie sensibilities, Slow Sugar’s carefully crafted sound is not only immediately infectious, but also intricate and deep. After only a year on the scene, it’s clear Slow Sugar is a force to be reckoned with in the New York pop game.

In 2012, a chance meeting in a UPenn student jazz combo brought together the sultry vocal stylings of lead singer
Danielle Harris and the songwriting chops of guitarist, vocalist, and producer Alex Utay. Both NYC born and bred, they bonded instantly over their strange taste in both old-school blues and jazz, and modern pop. A few years later, just as Danielle graduated and moved back to NYC, Alex quit his day job and two started writing songs together. In 2015, the duo played various NYC venues (Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, the Highline Ballroom etc.) refining their sound and identity. At the start of 2016, they teamed up with producer Jon Buscema to record their debut EP, due for release later this summer.
