Ona - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Ona, West Virginia is a small sliver of unincorporated ridges, creeks, and floodplains stretching from Route 60 up almost to the Ohio River. Ona makes songs that take place in these spaces. Bradley Jenkins and Zack Owens write about longing, resentment, searching, and waiting. Zach Johnston, Max Nolte, and Brad Goodall back them with music that pulses, buzzes, echoes, and rolls.

"All Songs Considered fans recognized this, picking Ona's single "Ides of July" as one of their favorite musical discoveries of 2015 (so far) — and for good reason. It's an expansive piece from the five-piece band, an indie-rock/alt-folk symphony that seamlessly captures a sense of wanderlust. The band's self-proclaimed "What Would Neil Young Do?" work ethic certainly lays the foundation for the song's catchiness." - Joni Deustch (A Change of Tune/Mountain Stage Radio Show)

“‘American Fiction’ is the kind of album that makes me thrilled to do my job – I had to share it with our listeners immediately. There is nothing more exciting than the spark of a new musical discovery, and Ona’s record isn’t just a spark, it’s a whole gosh darn flame.”

Rachel Angel - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Rachel Angel
Slacker rock and alt country with an edge. Rachel Angel sings about the difficulties of standing up for yourself and believing in what you want to do. Angel is inspired by the likes of vintage country, 90s alternative, and talk-singing poet/songwriters. Angel churns out frantic lyrical poetries that roar through the gut and come out strong and resolute over swirling organs and weeping lap steels.
Angel has released an EP “Revelations”. This year, Angel formed a band with Brooklyn based musicians: Sharif Mekawy, James Quinlin, Jackie Thomas, Rachel Housle, and Darren Denman. The band just finished recording a new EP, “High Priestess”, which will be released later this year.
The Sea The Sea - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
The Sea The Sea
THE SEA THE SEA is an Upstate New York based indie folk-pop duo-band featuring what Huffington Post calls, “Two of the loveliest male-female voices you might ever hear this or any other year.” Their 2014 debut release, Love We Are We Love, received praise from NPR, American Songwriter, and No Depression, among others, gathering over 10 million streams on Spotify. The animated video for their song "Waiting" sparked viral interest including Buzzfeed, Pitchfork, and inclusion at the international TED 2015 conference. Mountain Stage host Larry Groce calls them "ready to take their place among the best young male/female duos now performing." Their 2016 release, the six-song EP In the Altogether, recently earned features by Apple Music including Best of the Week and A-List Singer/Songwriter. They're currently in the studio working on their sophomore full-length album.
