Dances - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Dances
Trevor Vaz (vocals/guitar) and Jeremy Blackman (bass/vocals) are Brooklyn bartenders. Matt Gaffney (drums) is a music teacher in the Bronx. All three are native New Yorkers. Together they play in Dances: a moody, minimal, colorful cross section of manic punk and lazy, romantic pop. They back their rich vocal harmonies with noisy guitars and big beats. "Big beats are the best. Get high all the time." (Peep Show)

Trevor's songwriting is predominantly autobiographical, which lends a tenderness to even his loudest, fastest songs. Having been born into -- and subsequently estranged from -- a large Catholic, Indian family, he spent his teenage years alone in an apartment on the Lower West Side of Manhattan. He's been recently diagnosed with "Pure O." Look it up.

Trevor and Jeremy both studied at Columbia University, but they only met afterwards under the BQE. Before committing himself to music, Jeremy dabbled in the egoistic caverns of Hollywood. Matt's played in several other notable bands including Porches and Lost Boy?. Life brought the three of them together, and there's some power there.
Caddywhompus - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Caddywhompus
Band from New OrleChris Rehm and Sean Hart, the New Orleans via Houston duo, have been playing music together since middle school and have been crafting avant-pop tunes under the binomen of Caddywhompus since 2008. Their live show is a tightly crafted barrage of dynamic energy, utilizing dreamy dips and explosive crescendos executed with math rock like precision. On stage, the duo faces each other in front of a teetering wall of amps presenting their binary dialogue to the audience. Over the years, the band has released 4 albums, extensively toured the United States and has performed internationally in Europe, Brazil and Canada. In the last 6 months, Caddywhompus has opened for Thee Oh Sees, Parquet Courts and Dungen as well as finalized the production of their newest LP. The band will be releasing the LP in 2017 around plays at SXSW & BUKU Fest.
