Bobby Bare Jr. - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
Bobby Bare Jr.
With a room-filling persona, an ability to rock the doors off any club big or small, the chops to keep a crowd spellbound with just his guitar, and a genius for arrangement, Bobby Bare, Jr. is a truly unique performers. Adept at abandoning common sense in favor of laying himself at the feet of a rambunctious, freewheeling, and unfettered and unhinged muse, Bare Jr. throws himself full tilt into every performance.

As the front man for Bare Jr., Bare was part of a small and appealing Knoxville TN, scene that included the talented Superdrag. Skirting the power-pop tinged country strain of electric Southern rock, Bobby Bare Jr., is one highly talented songwriter. Raised in Nashville, his music upbringing was shaped by his proximity to luminaries like Waylon Jennings and Jerry Reed, both close friends of his father, and their country influence resides just under the surface.
Oh Whitney - (Set time: 9:30 PM)
Oh Whitney
Oh Whitney is a rock band. 'Rock' being, in this case, the indie kind. And alt-country. And some jazz + metal lurking in the drummer, rhumba in the bass player. Guitars more from the zeppelin angle. Songs written mostly from a blues + folk viewpoint. All that = what exactly?
A little geographical context : Jose Juan Poyatos (Malaga, Spain) plays lead guitars. Diego Noyola (Monterrey, Mexico) plays bass. Adrien Lorca Faunce (Nadal, France) plays the drums. Peter More (Fort Worth, TX) sings, plays more guitars and octophone.

Oh Whitney has been described as a genre-blurring band, marrying new and old styles across the great divide of rock, blues, bluegrass, folk and old country. Old country as in : Hank, Merle, Willie, Townes. The band has been all over the map and experienced several incarnations since their first lineup at Duke University in 2008. They cut their teeth performing in and around NYC throughout 2008-2010, while also playing down the east coast and into central Mexico, where they began working and recording with Rick Shlosser (of Van Morrison, James Taylor, Dolly Parton). After the better part of 2011 spent living and playing throughout Texas, the music took refuge in Puerto Rico for a stint and the band soon found themselves touring in Brazil by 2012. With an arsenal of new songs, Oh Whitney returned to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, to record their forthcoming album due out Winter of 2012.
