Tragedy: All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees - (Set time: 11:30 PM)
Tragedy: All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees
From the NEW YORKER: Nov. 12: Tragedy: An All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees parodies the angelic harmonies and boogie-friendly grooves of the legendary brothers Gibb using the guitar wallop of heavy metal. The heroically ridiculous endeavor actually demonstrates the versatility of the Bee Gees’ oeuvre. Even when butchered with hellion shrieks and shredding solos, hallowed disco hymns like “Nights on Broadway” and “Jive Talkin’” still shine.

Girls Girls Girls - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
Girls Girls Girls
GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS, the world’s first all-girl tribute to rock & roll’s baddest boys, Motley Crue, deliver the hits and fan favorites with a flirtatiously feminine twist. Known for their sexy chic rocker attire adorned with leather, chains, spikes and thigh-high boots, their sometimes unpredictable live performances defy what a ‘tribute’ band should be. The GIRLS inject their own personalities into the mix and wind up original sounding, rebellious and sharp, bringing their female-amped, fuel-injected version of old-school Motley Crue to many stages and to scores of clamoring fans all over the US.

From their very start, Girls Girls Girls took off like a rocket. During only their second month, they found themselves opening for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' sold-out Webster Hall show at the request of the band. New York Times best selling rock author (and major Crue fan) Chuck Klosterman requested the ladies perform with him at a special reading/performance at the Highline Ballroom. During their two years of infamy, the Girls proceeded to bring their saucy female version of Motley Crue tunes to clubs along the Eastern seaboard and beyond. Most notably, they found themselves in Alaska's biggest rock club, playing the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas with Guns & Roses' Gilby Clarke, as well as the USA’s largest St. Patrick’s Day rock celebration at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. They are a beloved part of the New York rock scene, not known for its warmth towards tribute bands. They also appeared as featured guests on VH1 Classic’s “That Metal Show,”being interviewed by comedic co-hosts Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine in a hysterical segment about tribute bands.

The Girls broke up in 2009 but reunited in May of 2012 for a knock-out reunion show to a packed house at Brooklyn Bowl. If you missed the band in their heyday, get ready for a new and exciting era - the GIRLS are back!
