Naomi Greenwald - (Set time: 7:30 PM)
Naomi Greenwald
Los Angeles–based singer-songwriter Naomi Greenwald released her debut album, Darkbloom, in early 2011 to rave reviews. "It captures the sound of an artist in the first flush of rock 'n' roll revelry," writes Blurt Magazine and recently, "Don't Forget Hallelujah" was featured on NPR's "Song of the Day." With a voice reminiscent of the soulful Stevie Nicks and the rock sensibilities of Kim Deal, Greenwald—who moved from New York to Los Angeles in 2007 to pursue a PhD in literature—paired up with producer Dave Trumfio (Wilco, Built to Spill), and a team impressive backers with whom she performs regularly in LA to create a rich and highly textured collection of original songs that traverses several genres that have influenced Naomi's unique songwriting style since growing up in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Daltonians - (Set time: 6:30 PM)
Daltonians
Sonically drawing from groups like The National, Mazzy Star and Fleet Foxes, Daltonians is a new Brooklyn based trio. The brainchild of multi instrumentalist Julie Jay, the band consists of Julie on lead vocal and guitar, Danielle DePalma on bass and Chris Golinski on drums. With Jay's lyrical and enchanting melodies, DePalma's production and recording experience and Golinski's rhythmic soundscapes, the band has worked to create a cohesive sound in a very short time
