Gin Wigmore - (Set time: 7:00 PM)
Gin Wigmore
Already a superstar in her native New Zealand, Gin Wigmore is fast becoming a household name in North America. Songs from her upcoming album "Gravel & Wine" have already been heard in nationwide TV & Radio campaigns for Heineken ("Man Like That" with Gin performing for James Bond himself, Daniel Craig), Guinness ("Black Sheep") and Lowe's ("Don't Stop"), and on national TV shows on ABC, CBS, MTV, Showtime, Fox, CW and more.

Wigmore, a singer-songwriter since age 12, is a sensation in New Zealand. At age 18, she won out over 11,000 other entrants at the International Songwriting Competition in the U.S. with “Hallelujah,” which she wrote two years earlier, in response to her father’s death. That put her in league with (among others) previous ISC winners Kasey Chambers and Catie Curtis, and gained the attention of Island Record Australia who inked her as their very first artist in 2008.

A self-titled EP featuring "Hallelujah" went multi-Platinum in New Zealand, and was soon followed by Gin’s album debut, "Holy Smoke," recorded with Ryan Adams’ band the Cardinals, and noted producer Mike Elizondo. “Holy Smoke" has been certified 5 x Platinum and "took a grip on my homeland for a hearty year of praise, adulation and radio saturation,” Gin says offhandedly. It debuted at #1 (NZ), and at one point, four of its songs were simultaneously in the Top 40 chart. Gin was named Break¬through Artist Of the Year at the 2010 NZ Music Awards, and "Holy Smoke" was the big winner, taking home Best Pop Album, Highest Selling Album, and Vodaphone Album Of the Year honors.

Before beginning work on her follow-up album, and hungry to feed her Blues appetite, Wigmore took a two month solo trek along the Mississippi Blues Trail and the heartland of America “to wrestle my emotions and bring out the raw grit hiding in my tightly guarded sub-conscious.” Working her way from juke joints to the Rev. Al Green’s church in Memphis, Wigmore finally landed in Santa Monica to work on her sophomore album with producer Butch Walker (Pink, Cee-Lo, Hot Hot Heat, Katy Perry, Gavin DeGraw). Already 3 x Platinum with a #1 debut back home, "Gravel & Wine" will be released in American by Mercury Records in early 2013.
