troy - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
There is a tradition in pure vocal-driven music that goes back to the smooth crooning of Sam Cooke, the earthy gritty sound of Otis Redding, the lyrical beauty of Curtis Mayfield and the unfiltered intensity of Donny Hathaway. It's a combination that few contemporary artists possess with any sense of authenticity.

Troy Ramey is clearly on his way to being the soulful-exception to that rule. A story is told, and a memory evoked with each note he sings. Troy is pure soul. Simply put, on his on his debut solo E.P. When The Lights Came, featuring the single “Rosary” he has proved to be the real deal…and way beyond.

The truly great singers of our time have the essential ability to draw you into their music. Their emotional power is unbridled, as they deliver the very bosom of their sentiments and almost always it is the pain they reveal through music, that affects us most. It is an emotion that Troy has been forced to harness, unwillingly and unexpectedly.

Moving to New York in the summer of 2013 to further his music career, Troy eventually met up with accomplished music producer Dante Lattanzi of Caelum Music Production and they have been working together ever since. During Troy’s, thus far, brief but prolific collaboration with Dante, the two have developed a set of thorough and determined works that have been impressing both industry insiders and fans alike.

Highlights include a brilliant music video created by Troy which was directed and produced by Andrew William Ralph for the single "Rosary." Placements of Song Man & Rosary on popular Spotify playlists leading to over 500,000 total listens and, a unique collaboration which featured Troy's music in the book/ebook/ & audiobook "Restless Waters" by NY Times Bestselling Author Jessica Park.
