MICKY - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
MICKY is the moniker under which 23-year-old singer and songwriter Michael Persall creates Motown-tinged Pop music with a classic rock and soul aftertaste. Known for his vibrant and energetic stage performances, MICKY has asserted himself as a true frontman while playing with his band around New York City for the past 4 years. MICKY's music is best described as genre-bending and multi-generational in appeal, citing influences ranging from Elvis, James Brown, and The Rolling Stones, to Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, and James Morrison. He recently accomplished a goal of performing over 400 shows in 2015, ending up at 408 gigs total in the year. He is fresh off residencies at Pianos and Rockwood Music Hall, headlining The Studio at Webster Hall, and multiple Sofar Sounds gigs. He's recently received praise from outlets such as CLASH, BAEBLE, and Next 2 Shine, among others. MICKY released his debut stand-alone single, "Candid" early 2017 and it has quickly reached over 700,000 streams on Spotify. Looking ahead, the debut, self titled EP from MICKY will arrive late summer/early fall of 2017.
James Parenti - (Set time: 7:10 PM)
James Parenti
James Parenti has been playing his moody, elegiac songs in NYC since 2007.

The years of honing his craft resulted in his two self-released albums, which have been called "unique and original" by Catalogue Reviews and "a rich, complex listening experience" by TheSirensSound.

On his sophomore effort, Parenti proves himself to be a remarkably versatile songwriter, from Elliott Smith-style folk pop to Sufjan Stevens-inspired oddball delicacy to a sense of dread akin to Radiohead's OK Computer, all the while highlighting the singular, intimate lyric imagery which he proved to be his stock-in-trade on his debut, Maybe That's Why We Lost.

Don't Be Gone Long, Ellen is a gorgeous, sometimes strange, always deeply affecting song cycle about love in the face of mental illness.

"It would be a lie to say that Parenti isn’t as skilled, melodic and haunting as any of the masters of the genre."
