Hodera - (Set time: 7:45 PM)
Spearheaded by Matthew Smith, Hodera has persisted in forming a unique sound amidst the vast depths of successful New Jersey acts. The group’s first release, 2014’s Reset to Default, was only a glimpse at the songwriting talent possessed by Smith. With 2015's United by Birdcalls the name Hodera name was put on the map, touring extensively both in the United States and the United Kingdom with bands like Pinegrove, Foxing, Sorority Noise and The Hotelier. From landing showcases at SXSW and set times at The Fest, the honest nature of the songs found the band at the top of Spotify Viral Charts and 2016 was capped with a headlining slot at The Front Bottoms’s Champagne Jam festival.

Hodera will now release First Things First via Take This To Heart Records on October 20th. Within the two-year time gap between albums, Hodera has found a lineup that is organic and innate to Smith's creativity, with Doug Gallo (guitars), Alek Mager (bass) and Scott Tilley (drums). First Things First is an explorative album, diving into difficult subjects such as depression, suicide, loss and love. First Things First is candid with its emotions, unraveling a soundscape that provides listeners with an album full of memory and warmth. Being transparent is more than an act for Hodera, it's embedded into the very soul of the music, and that's what makes their music feel personal.
Peaer - (Set time: 7:00 PM)
Performing with a rotating lineup of musicians, Peaer is an object set in motion, staying in motion. Songwriter Peter Katz (formerly of Fugue, Poverty Hollow, Suns) has an understanding of dynamics, amplitude, and melody as they interact as physical bodies, pushing, pulling, peaking and falling. Consequently, Peaer produces songs about communication as a force on a linguistic and kinetic level communication between individuals, between yourself and other self, between your heart and your brain.
A Deer A Horse - (Set time: 6:30 PM)
A Deer A Horse
Dark, heavy, and full of tension, A Deer A Horse’s music is a rare breed in Brooklyn’s DIY scene. Comprised of Rebecca Satellite (vocals/guitar), Angela Phillips (bass/backing vocals), and Dylan Teggart (drums), the trio have embraced the raw and dirty aspects of their city and created something simultaneously urgent, sludgy, and cathartic with their newest EP, Backswimmer.

"like the Melvins turning in a pop song" - AV Club

"schizo-rock at its absolute finest...an aggressive, blistering mind-meld that we can't get enough of." - The Deli Magazine

"A Deer A Horse is a loud band from Brooklyn. Think sludgy. Think melodic. Think post rock. Think good. Because that's what they are." - Oh My Rockness
