The Lobbyists - (Set time: 6:30 PM)
The Lobbyists
The Lobbyists (Tommy Crawford, Eloise Eonnet, Alex Grubbs, Will Turner, Tony Vo, and Douglas Waterbury-Tieman) formed in 2012, and take their name from the lobby of The Flea Theater in New York City, where the group first started playing and writing music together. One part band and one part theater company, the group of actor-musicians also creates original stage productions. The New York Times calls their songs “marvelous” and their musicianship “impressive,” Entertainment Weekly praises their SeaWife score as “enchanting,” The New Yorker calls their music "terrific," and The Village Voice lauds them as “undeniably talented.” Their music for SeaWife, a haunted tale of the American whaling trade, was nominated for a 2016 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music in a Musical. They have played some of New York's favorite concert venues, including Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, Rockwood Music Hall, 54 Below, Pete's Candy Store, Ars Nova, The Bowery Electric, The Bitter End, and more. Their music has been workshopped with New York Stage & Film, The Cape Cod Theater Project, and Ars Nova. Their debut full-length album, Songs from SeaWife, was released January 9th 2017 and is available widely online. The group is currently working on a new project about labor and the Transcontinental Railroad with playwright Don Nguyen
2/3 Goat - (Set time: 5:30 PM)
2/3 Goat
Fronted by lead singers Annalyse McCoy & Ryan Dunn, 2/3 Goat's melding of alt-country, bluesy folk and classic rock echo the core members' diverse roots: Annalyse descended directly from the infamous McCoys of the East Kentucky mountains, and Ryan deeply rooted in the beach culture of southern New Jersey. 2/3 Goat's most recent album Let It Rise has been celebrated in American Songwriter Magazine, Paste, Austin Town Hall, Elmore Magazine, Mother Church Pew, Surviving the Golden Age, and more. 2/3 Goat has shared the stage with such artists as Kathy Mattea, The Black Lillies, The Cadillac Three, Trent Wagler of The Steel Wheels, Big Kenny of Big & Rich, and Daniel Martin Moore.
